Kelsey & Andy's Winter Wedding at Boettcher Mansion
We adore this amazing couple and their even better love story. Kelsey and Andy met at work. Kelsey would take multiple trips to the copier and scan blank pieces of paper just so she could have the possibility of seeing Andy. Too cute. I met with these two about two months before their wedding when they decided that they were interested in hiring a day of coordinator. These two were married at Boettcher Mansion on November 19th. Kelsey wanted to keep her color palate as natural as possible. She used elements of taupe, gold, wood, and bistro lighting to decorate the lodge like event space. Both the guys and girls had so much fun getting ready at the venue. The guys got ready upstairs and were blasting music (mostly Drake) while the girls popped bottles of champagne in the bridal suite. The couple kept with tradition and didn't see each other before walking down the isle. We were lucky enough to witness a very special moment of the two holding hands around a corner to say a prayer before their nuptials. The bridesmaids all wore long dresses in varying shades of taupe and the groomsmen wore navy blue suits with brown dress shoes. The two married on the back deck of Boettcher Mansion. I was a little bit nervous about an outdoor wedding during a Colorado winter, but the conditions that day could not have been more perfect. Kelsey walked herself down the aisle and Andy was so elated to see his beautiful bride. Some of my favorite photos from this wedding are during the ceremony. You could tell by the look in each of their eyes that they were so in love and so excited to be married. (I pray that someone looks at me the way Kelsey looks at Andy.) After the two took communion and said I do the party moved indoors for their cocktail hour. Footers Catering passed an array of traditional american appetizers while the newlyweds went of with photographer Kelly Mulhern for photos. As cocktail hour came to an end the guests moved into the main ballroom which was set up with a mix of seated and high top tables. This is a set up perfect for a cocktail vibe and the young crowd they had in attendance. The speeches given by their friends and family really showed the love they had for the couple and you could feel the love in the room. The couple danced the night away. They even did a full hour of music by Drake, their favorite artist. Talk about making your wedding your own! This was such a fun group and I was so glad I got to be a part of this couples special day.
